Aspiring chef, culinary student, and future restaurant owner.
My name is Grant Haberstroh, and I grew up in Newington, New Hampshire. I have always had an interest in cooking.
My passion for food grew stronger after traveling throughout Europe. I visited countries such as Italy, Slovenia, Spain, Germany, Finland, Sweden, and the UK. These trips introduced me to many different foods, cultures, and styles of hospitality, which helped inspire my interest in the culinary field.
My goal is to continue my education in culinary arts or hospitality after high school. I want to build my skills in the kitchen, gain experience in the restaurant industry, and work toward becoming a head chef or eventually owning my own restaurant.
I am currently a junior at Portsmouth High School (2024–2027) and part of the 2-Year Culinary Program (2025–2027), led by Chef Anthony Pino, where I am learning practical kitchen skills, food preparation techniques, and the fundamentals of the culinary field.
